Bishop Guglielmone signs Memorandums of Understanding with all South Carolina Girl Scout Councils

Among the many points in the memorandums, For GSUSA Troops located in Catholic parishes and schools, the Girl Scout Councils agree to:

• Respect the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church

• Screen and approve leaders in accord with the policies and procedures of the diocese

• Not take a position on issues of human sexuality, abortion or birth control

• Have no official relationship with Planned Parenthood; not partner with them in programs or advocacy

• All proceeds from Girl Scout cookie sales remain with the council and troop
