Trail of Churches -- March 24-26, 2017

The Diocese of Charleston Catholic Committee on Scouting invites you to the third Catholic Trail of Churches Camporee to be held in Charleston the weekend of March 24-26, 2017.  This is a special weekend because it marks the 8th anniversary of the Bishop’s ordination.  The high light of the weekend will be the Trail of Churches hike on Saturday.  All scouts and Squires will leave from the Cathedral and will hike from there.

At each location, the scouts will learn of the history of the location, have a scavenger hunt to find answers to a set of questions at each location.  At various locations, they will learn about several of the commandments while also meeting several historical figures.  Bishop Guglielmone is opening up his home so that the scouts will have a chance to tour it.  The day will conclude with a special Mass just for the participants at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon.  This will give the scouts the chance to see some of the history of the Diocese as well as relics from its past.
